Atlantic Canada Expansion (NB, NS, PEI)
Kadence Legacy Fund is proud to begin our Phase One expansion into Atlantic Canada, opening chapters in Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island — while our main office remains based in Alberta and we are open in New Brunswick.
This regional growth is led by Stephanie McMullen, Maritime President, and focuses on building strong community foundations before service dog placements begin.
Phase One Focus: Building the Foundation in Maritimes
Our Atlantic expansion is currently centered on:
-
Community networking and relationship building
-
Fundraising and strategic partnerships
-
Identifying qualified service dog trainers
-
Developing puppy raiser programs
-
Startup planning and regional coordination
This phase ensures sustainable growth rooted in each local community.
Why Service Dogs in the Maritimes Matter
Veterans and individuals living with PTSD across Atlantic Canada often face limited access to specialized supports and long travel distances for care. Many quietly isolate because public spaces feel unsafe.
Service dogs provide grounding, emotional regulation, confidence, and independence — helping people reconnect with daily life, family, and community.
By expanding into the Maritimes, Kadence Legacy Fund is working to bring high-quality service dog support closer to home.
Moving Forward Together
Under Stephanie’s leadership, our Maritime chapters are building partnerships with local businesses, trainers, volunteers, and community organizations. Every relationship formed and every dollar raised moves us closer to future service dog placements.
